All developers can easily work from remote locations, having remote staff just means communicating differently. Team chat applications will be your main method of communication between you and your remote staff, whether you have a single staff member or a whole department full.
Your staff can work any shift you need them to. In most cases, they are on the same shift as your in-office staff, but you can have them working in a slight overlap or completely independent from your in-office team.
In terms of managing them, we will take over all of the administrative tasks. You get to focus on the day-to-day operations. Organizational tools coupled with team chat apps will help you and your team stay on top of tasks and deadlines.
As with all devs, software developers come with different specializations and depending on what you’re looking for, you will be given candidates with the specific skills you’ve requested. For the most part, you will be given candidates who have a bachelor’s degree in IT or computer science, there will also be some people without formal education but with real-world working experience. If you want to see previous projects your candidates have worked on, you can also request a portfolio or in some cases provide an assessment for them to take.
As with all other remote positions, they can work any shift you give them. A safe bet is to put them on the same shift as the point of contact or as other members of your developer team. If you will make use of agile methodologies and trust your developers to work autonomously, you can elect to have them on a short overlap with a point of contact while the rest of their shift can be something more comfortable for them.
Training for devs, no matter what position is mostly the same. You want to train the processes for your company, then any additional training is generally for new technologies and can be done over a specific period of time. Any training you invest in your employees will be greatly appreciated by them and will help to retain staff for long periods of time.
Application development differs depending on the project. It is important that you know exactly what you want before hiring for a developer. In the event that you aren’t sure what type of developer you need for an idea you have, contact us and we can help you decide what type of developer would help your business the most.
From general positions such as frontend and backend developers to more specialized devs such as mobile devs who focus on a specific OS, we can help you find any specialization at a competitive price point.
Training for these positions is mostly for processes as you’re hiring someone who has experience doing the job you’re hiring for. In the event that they need new certifications or new technologies comes out, you can give them the resources they need to train. You are in full control of their day to day tasks, as we will take care of the administrative side of things.
Automation devs or engineers help eliminate redundancies and help smooth our processes. The applicants will all be IT or computer science degree holders with experience in previous automation positions or quality assurance positions. Occasionally you will also run into devs with having no formal schooling but have real-world experience behind them.
The tools you use along with processes you use that are specific to your company should be included in your remote staffs’ training. You also have the option of only interviewing candidates who have specific experience with certain tools, but the speed at which those candidates will vary.
Data encoders are the solution for any business that needs records digitized or reviewed. Your candidates may have prior experience with data entry positions but a majority of people will not, as data encoding has many applicants who are just trying to break into the BPO space. Some key skills to help you select your remote staff would be high attention to detail, good analytical skills, and an average to fast typing speed.
Scheduling for this job can be on any schedule you want. In the event that you have documents that need to be updated in real-time, they can work during your business hours, but for everything that is backlogged and just needs to be finished, making it regular working hours in your remote staff’s location makes the recruitment process much faster.
Aside from training them to your specific processes, there won’t be much else to train. The job is entry-level and won’t take long to fill even if you require a whole team of data encoders.
